REDWOOD SHORES, Calif.-Oracle today announced that Xsigo Systems, the leading provider of data center I/O virtualization solutions, has consolidated its existing ERP system into a single, global instance with the Oracle(r) E-Business Suite Release 12. Implemented and hosted by NaviSite (www.navisite.com), a Certified Advantage Partner in the Oracle PartnerNetwork, the Oracle E-Business Suite gives Xsigo best-practice business processes integrated across its entire business, and will achieve significant cost-savings and a lower total cost of ownership.

With more than 20 diverse business applications and 36 business workflows, Xsigo’s existing ERP system did not provide the end-to-end, integrated functionality or visibility it required to effectively manage its fast-growing global business. After an extensive review of ERP solutions, Xsigo chose the Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 for its broad ERP functionality, and its low total cost of ownership in comparison with other solutions. With an aggressive deployment timeline, NaviSite was selected to provide implementation services and deployed the entire solution in less than three and a half months.

Best Practice Processes Delivered Across the Enterprise
Xsigo’s implementation of the Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 was deployed in May 2007 and represents the first deployment of the Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 in North America since it became available in January 2007. More than 30 applications from the Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 were implemented across Xsigo’s enterprise including Oracle Field Sales, Oracle iStore, Oracle iSupport, Oracle Discrete Manufacturing, Oracle Financials, Oracle Internet Expenses, Oracle iProcurement, Oracle Purchasing, and Oracle iSupplier Portal; among others. Additionally, Xsigo’s existing deployment of Agile Software’s product lifecycle management (PLM) solution was quickly integrated into the overall system.

NaviSite utilized Oracle’s pre-developed templates to achieve the aggressive deployment for Xsigo. These templates provided Xsigo the ability to utilize a process flow approach for implementing best-practice solutions. Xsigo not only achieved rapid deployment by leveraging templates, but also was able to develop, document and standardize its business processes, while improving controls and creating a scalable engine for growth.
