Over 500 Customers in China Select Oracle Real Application Clusters in FY07

Oracle China (registered as Beijing Oracle Software Systems Co., Ltd.) announced today that more than 500 companies in China selected Oracle(c) Real Application Clusters in fiscal year 2007 (June 1, 2006-May 31, 2007). This strong customer traction demonstrates Oracle’s leadership in helping enterprises leverage a grid computing model through a consolidated infrastructure that can virtualize computing resources, improve reliability of applications, and provision resources dynamically at the lowest possible cost.
Oracle Real Application Clusters is one of the building blocks for grid computing architectures and supports the deployment of a single database across a cluster of servers - providing unbeatable fault tolerance, performance and scalability with no application changes necessary.

Customers that selected Oracle Real Application Clusters in FY07 include: Beijing Traffic Bureau, China International Electronic Commerce Center, China Lottery Online, COSCO Logistics, Guangdong Mobile, Ministry of Railway, Shandong Netcom, Shanghai Distance Education Group, Shanghai Research Institute of Bio Technology, Tianjn Bureau of Labour and Social Security.
