Mattel Partners With Idea Nuova To Offer Hot Wheels™ And Barbie™ Room Décor For Boys And Girls


El Segundo, Calif.– Mattel announced today a new, premier licensing partnership with Idea Nuova, an industry leader in room décor, to produce a first-ever collection of Hot Wheels™ room furnishings. Idea Nuova and Barbie™ will also team up to offer a new collection of room décor.

This licensing alliance marks the first time that Hot Wheels™ has been used in the room décor category. The collection features brightly colored, flame-adorned designs intrinsic to Hot Wheels™ products including nap mats, slumber sacks, three-piece storage bins, moon chairs, EVA lights and three-piece table and chair sets available in spring 2008.

Idea Nuova will also create Barbie™ room décor featuring ballet-inspired designs with flower accents in signature Barbie™ pink, including moon chairs, storage bins, motion night lights, nap mats, portable chairs and EVA lamps, available in fall 2007.
