Golf Fans Can Hear the 2007 U.S. Open Live from Oakmont on XM Satellite Radio

Golf fans across the nation can hear comprehensive coverage of the 2007 U.S. Open golf tournament on XM Satellite Radio live from Oakmont Country Club.

The 107th U.S. Open will air on XM channel 146 from Thursday, June 14 to Sunday, June 17. Play-by-play coverage and expert commentary will air each day from 12 noon ET to 7 pm ET, followed by a 30-minute recap show.

Pre-event coverage from Oakmont begins Tuesday, June 12, at 2 pm ET with press conferences featuring Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Ernie Els, and defending champion Geoff Oglivy, among others. XM will air an extensive preview show on Wednesday, June 13, starting at 2 pm ET with interviews with many of the competitors in the top-flight field.

When spectators arrive at Oakmont Country Club June 15-17, they can pick up portable XM radios for the day. The first 1,000 people to sign up at the XM booths each day will be able to listen to an XM radio for one day at no charge. A spectator can put on the headphones, hear the XM coverage, and keep up with the action throughout the course. The XM booths are located inside the main entrance of the U.S. Open across from the merchandise tent.

The 2007 U.S. Open is part of XM Radio’s year-round golf coverage on channel 146. XM has more than 8 million subscribers who listen to XM on satellite radios for the car, home, office, and portable use.
