Juniper Networks Releases ’IPV6 Routing And Addressing’ Report To Aid U.S. Government Agencies’ Transition To IPV6

Juniper Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: JNPR) today announced the launch of Volume III of its IPv6 World Report Series, An Essential U.S. Government Agency Transition Guide to IPv6 Routing and Addressing, to support U.S. federal and state and local government agencies’ transition to IPv6. The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) has mandated federal agencies to transition to IPv6 by June 2008. This report will assist agencies as they implement IPv6 within their core networks in a manner that meets their unique requirements and missions and allows them to realize the benefits of IPv6 sooner, while achieving the high-level objectives outlined by OMB.

Highlights of Volume III include critical routing and addressing issues to consider during the transition, routing architectures and approaches suitable for IPv6 deployment, transition tools and checklists, and the steps necessary to justify and acquire IPv6 addresses.

The Juniper Networks’ IPv6 World Report Series was launched in January 2006 to provide extensive insight and counsel for U.S. government agencies’ transition to IPv6. Volume I focused on overall transition planning, while Volume II highlighted the importance of understanding IPv6 technology requirements to enable the next generation Internet.
