Vodafone and Alcatel-Lucent cooperate to deliver 32nd America’s Cup competition live to mobile users in Spain

Vodafone and Alcatel-Lucent (Euronext Paris and NYSE: ALU) today announced a cooperation agreement to deliver the award-winning America’s Cup Live Sailing service developed by Alcatel-Lucent in Vodafone’s mobile portal. With momentum building as the final of the Louis Vuitton Cup begins today in Valencia, Vodafone’s mobile customers in Spain can now experience the sailing action with live animations of the 32nd America’s Cup races, and a fully interactive viewing of every race.

With Alcatel-Lucent’s Live Sailing, Vodafone Live! customers will benefit from daily news videos, pictures and textual information from the 32nd America’s Cup. The America’s Cup Live Sailing service, which can be accessed via the Vodafone live! Menu, throughout the Sports section where the 32nd America’s Cup will be promoted during the key dates of the competition.
