World Day for Safety and Health at Work
This Saturday, April 28, is World Day for Safety and Health at Work. Established by International Labor Organization (ILO) in 2003, the day commemorates safety and health at work.
“Honoring the World Day not only demonstrates to others around the world our value for safety but also provides an occasion where we can reflect on our commitment and think how we can contribute to this effort,” said Mark Vergnano, group vice president, DuPont Safety & Protection. In a letter to Safety & Protection employees, Mark asked colleagues to “reflect on our public promise and renew our individual commitments to safety and the goals we have set.”
The ILO is one of three sponsors of the XVIII World Congress on Safety and Health -- to be held in 2008 in Seoul, Korea. DuPont will participate in the Congress.
