Northrop Grumman To Serve As Subcontractor To AT&T Government Solutions On Networx Universal Contract
Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) will serve as a subcontractor to AT&T Government Solutions, a business unit of AT&T Corp., on the Networx Universal contract. Northrop Grumman will provide enterprise systems engineering, integration, deployment and support services for the Networx Universal contract. AT&T Government Solutions was one of three companies awarded the contract by the General Services Administration (GSA) on March 29, 2007.
Networx Universal is an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract with a potential value of $20 billion over the next ten years. Under the terms of the contract, Northrop Grumman’s Information Technology (IT) sector will partner with AT&T to compete for task orders for telecommunications, networking and related services.
“Our strong systems integration experience with the Department of Homeland Security’s Homeland Secure Data Network and the Department of Treasury’s Treasury Communications System position us well to support AT&T with Networx,” said Linda Mills, president of Northrop Grumman IT’s Civilian Agencies group. “Our team’s technical expertise will ensure AT&T and the federal government meet their mission for scalable, secure telecommunications, networking and other services that have the infrastructure to support growth and evolution.”
Networx consists of two contract vehicles to which AT&T’s team has submitted bids: Networx Universal and Networx Enterprise, which is expected to be awarded in May. Networx replaces the expiring GSA FTS 2001 and Crossover contract vehicles.
Work on the contract will be performed in McLean and Reston, Va.
