Report: IBM Scores Strong in Telecommunications Management Software
IBM (NYSE: IBM) continues to gain momentum in telecommunications management software with today’s announcement of high scores in a new Gartner Dataquest scorecard report . According to the independent analyst firm report on Operation Support Systems (OSS), IBM ranked ’strong’ and ’very strong’ in several key areas including ’product and service,’ ’market understanding,’ ’sales strategy’ and ’market responsiveness and track record.’
According to the Gartner Dataquest report, the OSS market was worth $21.5 billion in 2006, and IBM scored overall as a ’strong’ OSS vendor.

The independent analyst firm report states, “OSS will remain a major focus area for carriers moving toward next-generation service delivery environments.
