Four Vines Winery Announces Participation In 10th Annual Rhone Rangers Wine Tasting Event

SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- Four Vines Winery, makers of traditional and eclectic wines, will pour its bold and exotic Rhone blends at the 10th Annual Rhone Rangers wine tasting event on March 18 in San Francisco.

Rhone Rangers blends food and wine lovers, members of the wine trade, and media.

Four Vines will enchant visitors with its collection Rhone varietals:

2004 The Peasant - Traditional Rhone blend with hints of sandalwood on the nose and ripping with sassy fruit, herb and spice

2004 Heretic - A big, dark monster that shows as a voluptuous, sultry Petite Sirah with a velvety, black fruit aura

2004 Anarchy - This rogue Rhone blend replaces Grenache with Old Vine Zin. Syrah gives this wine a velvet mouthfeel and rich fruit, Old Vine Zin for spice, a brambly backbone and structure, and Mourvedre provides anise, making your toes curl

2004 Bailey Syrah - Spicy plum and berry laced with rose petal. On the mouth... big red and black berry fruit, mineral and dusty rose, finishing with long seductive oak

The tasting will take place in the Festival Pavilion at Fort Mason on Sunday. Trade and Media Tasting 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Public Tasting 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Tickets are priced at $45 and up, and are on sale at the Fort Mason Box office (415-345-7575) and through the Rhone Rangers website,
