Dialogic Expands Media Gateway Product Line
HANOVER, Germany - Dialogic Corporation, a global provider of world class products and technologies for media and signal processing, has announced the availability of the Dialogic® 3000 Media Gateway Series, a new line of enterprise media gateway products designed to support the growing market for IP based unified messaging, IVR and contact center applications. In addition, Dialogic is re-naming its existing enterprise media gateway appliances to distinguish and clarify its growing media gateway product portfolio.
The Dialogic 3000 Media Gateway Series are turnkey integrated systems that seamlessly merge traditional PSTN technology with IP networks. These Microsoft® Windows® based gateways combine industry-standard rack mount server technology and the proven reliability of the Dialogic® Diva® media processing boards to support new and differentiated communications services across typically separate voice and data networks. Enterprises and service providers can therefore realize the benefits of a converged voice and data network without the necessity to do complex and disruptive changes to the existing PBX equipment.
Developed according to the Microsoft® Exchange® Server 2007 Unified Messaging specifications, the Dialogic 3000 Media Gateways are the ideal solution to connect ISDN BRI (Basic Rate Interface) PSTN lines or PBXs to Microsoft Exchange 2007 Unified Messaging environments, or other SIP based applications that require ISDN BRI connectivity. Built into a 19-inch rack mount server, these integrated gateway systems not only provide superior voice quality with echo cancellation, but also deliver high-speed T.38 fax support up to 33.6 kbps.
“As one of the Microsoft recommended unified messaging specialists for Exchange Server 2007, TietoEnator has been working with Dialogic media gateways for the past year,” states Dr. Klaus Zünkler, Head of Technology and Vendor Management in TietoEnator Digital Innovations Germany. “We have recently deployed a new Dialogic 3000 Media Gateway for a unified messaging customer with an ISDN BRI requirement, and both the installation and operation of the gateway completed the solution beautifully. We now finally have a gateway solution for ISDN BRI to compliment the ISDN PRI and PBX integration gateways Dialogic already supply us for Microsoft Exchange Server 2007. This new and versatile Media Gateway is our door opener for the huge medium and small enterprise market.”
The company will begin shipping two of the Dialogic 3000 Media Gateway Series into the European market during the month of April. The DMG3008BRI offers eight channels via four ISDN BRI ports, while DMG3016BRI supports up to 16-channels via 8 ISDN BRI ports. The new gateways compliment the existing analog, digital PBX and T1/E1 gateway appliances Dialogic has already certified for use with Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 Unified Messaging.
“Dialogic is committed to providing our global customers with a complete set of IP and hybrid TDM-IP platforms that allow them to thrive in the mixed enterprise architecture that dominates the current landscape” states Jim Machi, Vice President of Marketing for Dialogic. “Adding a turnkey BRI gateway series certified for Microsoft Exchange is another step in keeping that commitment, and leading the market.”
As part of the introduction, Dialogic is also announcing a new identity for its existing media gateway products to help distinguish between its growing portfolio. Dialogic® 1000 Media Gateway Series is the new name for the products currently known as Dialogic PBX-IP Media Gateways, and Dialogic® 2000 Media Gateway Series is the new name for the Dialogic T1/E1-IP Media Gateway products.
