Momentum Hires New Chairman And Directors Of Board

Momentum Advanced Solutions Inc. (TSX: WWW), “Momentum”, a leader in the emerging world of Internet outsourcing, today announced the appointment of Kamil Khan as the new Chairman of the Board of Directors and Andrew Wnek and Michael Cannata as new independent Directors. Mr. Khan replaces Sheldon Pollack who was acting Chairman on a temporary basis after Burt Napier left the position for personal reasons in December 2005.

Mr. Khan retired from Bell in 1997 after 30 years of service including twelve years as Vice-President and CIO of Bell Canada. He served as CEO of Bell Sygma Inc. for four years and has also served as a Director and Chairman of several entities including certain publicly listed companies. Mr. Khan is currently the Chairman of Softroute Corporation and has served on the Momentum board since December 2005.

Andy Wnek is Senior Vice-President, Information Technology and CIO of Canadian Tire Corporation with responsibility for aligning information technology strategies with the requirements of the business. Mr. Wnek has held a number of positions at the senior management level since joining Canadian Tire in October 1987 including Vice President of Finance and Administration. Mr. Wnek graduated from Queen’s University with a Bachelor of Commerce degree, received his MBA from the University of Toronto and in 1977, he became a Chartered Accountant with Ernst & Young.

Mike Cannata is the principal of BOCA Advisory Services Inc. which through a partnership with NW Patent Funding Corporation is an advisor to the Northwater Intellectual Property Fund. Mr. Cannata has a proven track record as CEO with start-up and early stage technology companies. In 1999, Mr. Cannata founded Brokercom Inc., a financial services software company and served as its President & CEO until it was acquired by a large software company in 2002. From 1993 to 1998, Mr. Cannata was President of Cybermation Inc, a systems management software company. Mr. Cannata has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from York University.
