First Mexican Radio Station launches Podcast

Five months after having started the first PodCast of the Hispanic world, focused on the State of Queretaro, the entrepreneur Jan van der Reis announced the first PodCast of a traditional radio station in Mexico.

These PodCasts were created in cooperation with 2 entrepreneurs here in Queretaro and a boy of 8 years, and are another evidence of the restlessness of these digital entrepreneurs.

We had several technical problems during the development but now they are resolved “, said Jan van der Reis, General Director of Red Works S.A. de C.V. ”and today we can say that the first version of our application is stable, nevertheless this technology this in its childhood and there sure will be important changes in a near future. We are very happy with the EXA 94.7 FM cooperation, and through their boldness they became the first traditional radio station that embraces this technology “. ”PodCasting is a very interesting experiment, since it allows you to listen what you want, when you want and where you want, liberating you of fixed schedules and of the territorial limitations " said Ing. Jaime Robledo, General Director of EXA 94.7 FM in Queretaro.

PodCasts allow anybody to be informed via audio about all the news in Queretaro, even though they are in foreign country.

There are around 5000 PodCasts in the world and their number is increasing daily.

This technology is or will be adapted by Paris Hilton, Britney Spears and radio stations like the BBC, Clear Channel Communications and the National Public Radio to name a few.
