118 Group announces immediate plans to grow publishing business Fido


Daniel Corby, CEO 118 Group Holdings expands Fido Publishing Arm

Daniel Corby, founder and CEO of 118 Group Holdings plc has announced immediate plans to expand the publishing arm of the business known as Fido. Fido is a high quality, advertising led, free to pick up magazine which 118 Group launched in August 2006.

Speaking about the immediate growth plans for Fido, Daniel Corby said “Fido has proven am immediate success for 118 Group Holdings plc. The level of sales achieved has surpassed our expectations and we are now starting a roll-out across further towns. The potential for the Fido division is enormous, with a full national roll out not out of the question. The publication now covers Chelmsford, Brentwood and Billericay with additional sales and customer service teams being recruited to launch additional areas. We launched the publication in Chelmsford with a full colour, perfect bound, national type feel to it, along with exclusive interviews with Celebrities. Issue 1 for Chelmsford had an exclusive interview with Katie Melua and Issue 2 carries an exclusive with Johnny Depp. Distribution includes letter box drops with solus distribution of around 15,000 distribution and distribution through Sainsbury, Tesco and BP outlets”

Fido is the publishing division of 118 Group Holdings plc. The Magazine is edited by Magazine Veteran Neil McDermid. 118 Group Holdings plc now has interests in Advertising, Directories, Media, Mobile, Publishing and Telecoms.
