Paul and his father, a pastor, move to Texas after his mother and sister perish from a car accident. Given a fresh start as a senior in a new high school, Paul meets Jeremy, the son of the deacon at his father’s new church. A spark ignites between the two young men, and Paul begins to have feeling that he has never felt for someone of the same sex. A tale familiar to many LGBT citizens growing up in religious households, this book highlights issues like bullying and oppression that many of them face when they come out or are outed to their families and friends.
