Over 3.2 million students are bullied each year in America according to recent studies, and the problem is even bigger worldwide. When a child is bullied, it can shape that child’s future and reduce their future job prospects and lifestyle. According to the makers behind The Martial Arts Kid taking up martial arts can help a child combat bullying.
 
Martial arts has become an important tool for parents who are worried their children are being bullied in and out of school. It allows children to learn how to protect themselves through the self-defense moves. Martial arts including MMA can also help children learn confidence, discipline, and ward off potential bullies. According to martial art teachers, it can also help teach children self-control as well as provide them with the confidence that they may lack.
 
Co-star/Co-producer Don “The Dragon” Wilson of The Martial Arts Kid, said: “Martial arts is an enjoyable activity, but it is also an important tool for a child that may be suffering from being bullied. This is an important movie for any child to watch who may be experiencing bullying.”
