Former Self-Destructive Alcoholic Reveals How She Traversed the Road to a Life of Sobriety
Deborah O’Brien shares a beacon of hope for those who are living a troubled life because of alcohol and drugs.
“There is no sugar-coating her story of difficult and uncomfortable situations. She relates the awkward moments in the first half of her book but offers incredible peace-of-mind solutions that helped her beat the demons.”
Alcohol and drug addiction is rampant in society. It has been for many years now. No matter how much effort educators exert in teaching the youth to avoid dangerous activities involving alcohol and illegal substances, it seems like it’s not going to end soon. But as long as we live, there is hope.
As a testament to that, an autobiography was recently published by author Deborah O’Brien this year. Her book, Bliss: Behind the Mask, not only tells her life experiences and her alcohol addiction, but also teaches readers how to cope with stress the right way, how to improve relationships with others and with themselves, and how to find the “bliss” from within.
It has received positive reviews and high ratings online. A reader named Cathy Pacheco posted a review on Amazon, saying that the book is brutally honest. Specifically, she mentioned in her review of O’Brien’s book that “There is no sugar-coating her story of difficult and uncomfortable situations. She relates the awkward moments in the first half of her book but offers incredible peace-of-mind solutions that helped her beat the demons.”
This October 14-18, 2015, LitFire Publishing will be exhibiting books and advertisements from many indie authors at the Frankfurt International Book Fair in Frankfurt, Germany. One of the featured works will be Debora O’Brien’s Bliss: Behind the Mask.
