Tim Ferguson creates a whole new universe where Christianity never came to be two thousand years ago.
What would a world without religion be like? Tim Ferguson’s book, The Chest of Visions, imagines a world where Jesus did not come to Earth two millennia ago.
What would a world without religion be like? Tim Ferguson’s book, The Chest of Visions, imagines a world where Jesus did not come to Earth two millennia ago. This fantasy fiction was featured last April 12 to 14 in the 2016 London Book Fair at the Olympia London.
In Chest of Visions, Tim Ferguson creates an alternative Earth called Caperston. In this world, religion does not exist. There was no coming of Jesus two thousand years ago. Instead, He arrives in the modern day. The orderly society of Caperston is shaken by the emerging ideas of religion. Mattpaul, a youth of this world, begins to learn, explore, and come into terms with his beliefs and faith.
Amazon user Sumac talks about the book, “Tim Ferguson has over 40 years of experience with Christian youth and it shows. This book is easy to read and easy to get into due to the creative storytelling and wonderful art. However, what really excites me about this book is that it addresses important issues that young people think about.”
This book presents an interesting and unique point of view of the way the youth can explore their faith.
