Raleigh Laboratory Receives CDC ELITE Certification for Legionella Testing

EMSL Analytical, Inc. is proud to announce that its Raleigh laboratory has received CDC ELITE certified for Legionella testing. With the addition of the Raleigh location, EMSL now has 10 CDC ELITE laboratories, more than any other laboratory in the United States.  

“With the increased demand for regional Legionella testing locations across the country, we are working to increase the number of EMSL labs within the program,” said Diane Miskowski, MPH, Legionella Program Manager at EMSL Analytical, Inc. “The recent passage of ASHRAE 188 for preventing legionellosis in building water systems, along with the outbreaks in cities like New York have stressed the importance of having a Legionella Water Safety Plan and validating that plan by doing Legionella testing. EMSL has several labs in the queue for Legionella certification in 2016.”  

Along with CDC ELITE certification, EMSL Raleigh offers testing services for asbestos, food and beverage, indoor air quality (IAQ) and microbiology. EMSL Raleigh is accredited for AIHA EMLAP, AIHA IHPAT for Asbestos, and AIHA EMPAT for Bacteria and Fungi. EMSL Raleigh also holds A2LA accreditation for food testing and NVLAP for Air and Bulk.
