MINNEAPOLIS - 11 Sep 2006: Curam Software, the leading provider of Social Enterprise Management (SEM) software solutions, and IBM today announced a new expansion to their strategic alliance to deliver human services, social security, and workforce services IT solutions to government agencies. IBM is one of the largest suppliers of consultancy and solutions to social services and social security clients in over 200 countries around the world.

As part of this initiative, IBM and Curam Software will collaborate to deliver government social services and social security IT modernization programs, leveraging Curam Software’s commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) SEM software with IBM Global Business Services and industry-leading infrastructure and middleware. The joint solution combines industry leading services and technology from IBM with the Curam Business Application Suite to deliver a state-of-the-art solution based on industry best practices, streamlined business processes, and integrated service delivery models from social enterprises world-wide resulting in an across-the-enterprise, cost-effective solution for agencies wishing to modernize their existing legacy applications. The IBM Integrated Case Management Solution with Curam Software enables integrated case management across the enterprise.

The IBM-Curam Software Strategic Alliance began in 1999. Over the past five years, IBM and Curam Software have worked together on state, local, and provincial-level social enterprise management solutions in Louisiana, Utah, New York and Ontario, Canada, as well as national-level solutions in Australia and United Kingdom.

IBM offers Curam Software’s SEM products through the IBM Integrated Case Management solution. The IBM Integrated Case Management solution is a comprehensive approach to reshaping the way social and workforce services organizations deliver services, making them more effective, efficient, flexible, and responsive to clients and taxpayers. The IBM Integrated Case Management solution applies IBM’s in-depth understanding of the workforce services, social services, and social security industries with world-class consulting and technical skills, and compliments IBM’s other social services and social security solutions.

The extension of the IBM/Curam Software relationship comes weeks after Curam Software announced the company’s successful completion of IBM’s rigorous Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) technical and business requirements process to become IBM SOA Specialty validated. The validation integrates the Curam Business Application Suite(TM) into the IBM SOA Foundation. The IBM SOA Foundation is a single, integrated platform that combines the top application server and integration capabilities in the SEM market, to deliver SOA-driven results for clients worldwide.

IBM and Curam Software will jointly sell Curam Software’s COTS SEM solutions on IBM System p, x, and z hardware platforms. Curam Software’s products also run on IBM’s operating systems, storage devices, IBM DB2 and WebSphere software platforms.
