New Website Announces Licensed Birth Center with Water Birth Option
Goshen Birth Center launches new website explaining the advantages and safety of its Certified Nurse-Midwife supported birth center and water birth program; families tell their own stories in words, photos and video.
“We work closely with our clients to create with them their ideal birth experience."
Goshen, IN – Goshen Birth Center announces the launch of a new website designed to explain the advantages and safety of their licensed birth center. Betsy Black, Administrative Director of the Center said, “We provide a peaceful, certified nurse-midwife supported birth in a calm, relaxed, and home-like environment, which promotes an empowering and satisfying birth experience.”
The midwifery model of care is to respect the woman and her body’s ability to birth. Pregnancy and birth are considered a normal process and not to be feared. This model of care is reflected in the birth center setting as women are free to move about as they wish, eat during labor, have family and other support persons with them. Goshen Birth Center offers homeopathy, aromatherapy and water immersion as natural pain relief options. A birth preparation course is also provided prenatally to educate couples about the natural birth experience and teach techniques to use during labor.
The Website includes a “Meet the Certified Nurse-Midwives” page where prospective clients can review the professional experience and credentials of each of the birth center’s nurse-midwives. The attentive one to one midwife care ensures that mom and baby are monitored to ensure that a birth center birth is suitable. If the decision to transfer to a hospital is made the midwife accompanies the mother to IU Health Goshen, a 5 minute drive away. The midwife continues to care for and stay with the family at the hospital. This continuity of care is unmatched in our local out of hospital birth options.
Ms. Black continued, “We work closely with our clients to create with them their ideal birth experience. Our new website is designed to help expectant parents understand their options, including the region’s most extensive water birth program. Water birth is one of the unique choices we offer that area hospitals don’t. Each private suite is equipped with a large whirlpool tub that has room for the laboring mom and partner if desired.” Please visit the webpage for further information on the benefits of a water birth, including photos and videos of our facility.
Stephen Antisdel of Precept Partners, the Website’s developers added, “We were impressed by the many enthusiastic comments from moms who have given birth at Goshen Birth Center. We created a “Stories” page to let the moms tell their stories in their own words along with a slide show and videos.”
Antisdel continued, “The new site is also designed to be accessible and easy-to-use on all kinds and sizes of mobile devices including Apple iOS, Android, and the latest MS Edge web browser.
