Rare Solar Eclipse and Very Rare Tetrad of Blood Moons--What Do They Mean?

A spring equinox supermoon and solar eclipse will make March 20 a rare “double event,” said George Ward of Thanet Astronomy Group to Mirror Online. The supermoon occurs when the earth and moon are as close as they can be.

That “celestial phenomenon” is like a crown jewel in a tetrad of “blood moons” that fall on the biblical appointed times [moedim] of Genesis 1:14 says Dr. Richard Ruhling, author on Bible prophecy.

Ruhling says the Bible isn’t a book of myths, but a record of different witnesses suggesting that signs in the heavens aren’t just a meaningless coincidence. It says, “The sun shall be darkened and the moon turned to blood before the... day of the Lord ,” Joel 2:31.

“The day of the Lord” is a biblical apocalyptic phrase for the end-times, something that commerce doesn’t like to consider, but sometimes reality knocks at the door, says Ruhling, noting the parallel timing of the soli-lunar eclipses this spring with the account in Exodus 12:2,7 when God designated New Year’s Day as the first day of spring and Israel put blood on their doorposts two weeks later at Passover.

Ruhling sees the parallel event when we will have a “ blood moon” caused by a full lunar eclipse April 4, but the Passover in Exodus 12:12 was also a time of judgment says Ruhling, adding that the Greek word for judgment in Revelation 14:7 is krisis.
