Canon U.S.A. and Virtual Imaging, Inc. to Display New RadPRO DELINIA 200 Digital X-ray Acquisition Cart that Provides a New Cost-effective Way to Transition to Canon DR Technology at RSNA 2014
Canon U.S.A. Demonstrates Imaging Technologies that are Designed to Empower Customers to Achieve Their Needs and Looks Forward to Celebrating Another Significant Canon Industry Milestone
Canon U.S.A., Inc., a leader in digital imaging solutions and Virtual Imaging, Inc. will feature their complete lineup of digital radiography (DR) solutions at the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) Annual Meeting on November 30 - December 5, 2014 at McCormick Place in Chicago. Located in the South Hall, Booth #1241 North Building, the companies will showcase a wide array of solutions that offer superb imaging quality, workflow efficiency, and flexibility, including the new RadPRO DELINIA 200 Digital X-ray Acquisition Cart1, which provides a cost-effective option to transition from CR to DR technology and is designed to help increase productivity by enabling the organization to share the capability among multiple areas of the facility.
In addition to exhibiting the radiology solutions, Canon U.S.A. acknowledges that its parent company, Canon Inc., is working toward achieving 28,000 global unit sales of digital radiology (DR) detectors by the end of 2014. If achieved, this would be another major milestone for Canon Inc., which entered the market in 1997 with the industry’s first DR system, the CXDI-11 Digital Radiography Detector, and continues to be at the forefront of developing DR solutions.
“Our theme for this year’s RSNA is ”Canon See Impossible,“ which symbolizes the application of creativity to achieve something that was previously not recognized as achievable. When Canon Inc. introduced its DR system in 1997, who could have foreseen that this technology could be further developed to provide high-quality imaging where, when, and how an organization needs it? The RadPRO DELINIA 200 Digital X-ray Acquisition Cart helps them do that,” said Tsuneo Imai, vice president and general manager, Healthcare Solutions Division, Business Imaging Solutions Group, Canon U.S.A. and president, Virtual Imaging, Inc. “Canon continues to focus on developing imaging technologies that empower customers to employ new approaches to meet their challenges and create new opportunities for their business.”
The technologies designed to support practitioners in delivering quality, cost-effective patient care highlighted in the Canon booth include:RadPRO DELINIA 200 Digital X-ray Acquisition Cart and Canon CXDI-801C, CXDI-701C and CXDI-401C Wireless DR System
The RadPRO DELINIA 200 Digital X-ray Acquisition Cart provides a new way for an organization to employ Canon digital radiography technology and to share it among multiple rooms. The RadPRO DELINIA 200 Digital X-ray Acquisition Cart comes equipped with a computer, access point, touch screen monitor, detector holder, and a choice of the Canon CXDI-701C, CXDI-801C, or CXDI-401C Wireless DR system. In X-ray Auto Detection mode, the detector will detect X-rays at exposure and shift to image acquisition mode automatically, without the use of a typical X-ray generator interface. As a result, the Canon wireless detector can deliver high-quality imaging and help accelerate exams by providing results within seconds, using the installed X-ray generator in an existing radiography room or a mobile generator, without the need for cabling or special interfacing.RadPRO OMNERA 400 Series Digital Radiographic Systems
The new RadPRO OMNERA 400 Series of Digital Radiographic Systems has been designed to help healthcare professionals meet the challenges of demanding hospital imaging departments and help create an efficient workflow to increase patient throughput. The RadPRO OMNERA 400A Auto-Positioning Digital Radiographic System incorporates fully automatic motorized positioning and features automatic stitching, a tube-mounted 10-inch touch screen, a vertical wall-stand and a table with extended range of motion. It will be outfitted with certain Canon CXDI Digital Radiography detectors, which are sold separately. Constructed of rugged crafted aircraft aluminum, the RadPRO OMNERA 400A System also provides the flexibility and ease of use helpful to healthcare professionals for delivering patient-focused care.
The RadPRO OMNERA 400T Digital Radiographic System, like the RadPRO OMNERA 400A System, incorporates a lightweight, rugged construction with tube-mounted 10-inch touch screen and tight integration with certain Canon CXDI digital detectors, which are sold separately. The manual positioning System provides servo tracking to both the wall stand and table to provide precision positioning quickly and easily.
These digital radiographic systems provide imaging departments two excellent options to help create an efficient and flexible workflow with advanced Canon imaging technology.Mobile Solutions for Streamlined Workflows and Enhanced Patient Care
Healthcare providers can maximize resources and simplify workflows by using a comprehensive RadPRO mobile radiology solution. With its compact and easy-to-maneuver design, the RadPRO 40kW Digital Mobile X-ray System provides the flexibility of a radiography room on wheels - to bring the radiography room to the patient and allow administrators to maximize office space by reducing the need to have dedicated rooms for specific procedures. Its Enhanced Workflow Package can help technologists save time by reducing unnecessary steps and completing routine imaging tasks from the mobile device directly at bedside. Allowing users to customize their workflow routine, the Enhanced Workflow Package seamlessly switches between image acquisition and third-party HIS/RIS software applications. In addition, technologists can query PACS for prior studies, perform image verification, and close patient exams from the mobile device as an alternative to having to access healthcare information systems from a dedicated workstation.RadPRO D2-50RF Dynamic Digital RF Imaging System
The highly versatile RadPRO D2-50RF Dynamic Digital RF Imaging System is a dual-purpose imaging solution that provides exceptional image quality for both fluoroscopy and static examinations. Depending on the image capture mode and size, the Canon CXDI-50RF Dynamic/Static Digital Flat Panel Detector (included with the RadPRO D2-50RF DR System) has the ability to take up to 30 frames per second (fps) for fluoroscopy imaging, while offering static multi-frame radiographic imaging at up-to-15 fps. Utilizing this dynamic portable detector provides the flexibility to perform fluoroscopy examinations, general radiography procedures and direct radiographic projections with a single cost-effective detector.
