Bayer honors top process engineering graduate

For the sixteenth time, Bayer has awarded the Bayer Technology Services Prize in recognition of the top Bachelor Degree graduate of the Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences. The winner this year is Jan Lamsfuss, who completed his degree in process engineering with a grade point average of 1.7 after eight semesters.

Dr. Wilfried Kopp, Unit Head Project Management & Engineering and Bayer Technology Services (BTS) Site Manager at Chempark Krefeld-Uerdingen, Germany, presented the award, which comes with EUR 1,000 cash prize, on October 24, 2014. “Qualified young people, particularly in the technical and scientific fields, are important for innovative companies,” said Dr. Kopp while speaking at the awards ceremony at the Niederrhein University of Applied Science auditorium in Krefeld. “The presentation of this graduate prize underscores the decades-long partnership with the university.”

A significant portion of the young engineers hired by Bayer Technology in recent years are graduates of the Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences.
