Vizrt to Become a Major Force in American Football

Bergen, Norway, August 23, 2006. Vizrt Ltd. (Frankfurt Prime Standard, Oslo Main List: VIZ) announces today that Vizrt graphics products continue their dominance in the U.S. sports market as the NFL football season begins in September. CBS Sports and the NFL Network both have purchased high definition graphics systems, together valued at approximately USD 750,000 for use in mobile production vehicles and studios.

In acquiring the Vizrt systems, CBS will replace its current complement of character generators. Vizrt will also provide professional and training services to CBS while the network transitions to the new Vizrt systems for use in its upcoming sports coverage.

This will be the first season that the NFL Network will televise live games on its own network. The systems will be used from the NFL’s newly expanded studio facilities in Los Angeles.


CBS Sports is part of CBS, the largest broadcast operation in the U.S., with more than 200 television stations and affiliates reaching virtually every home in the United States. The NFL Network was launched in November 2003 as a television network solely devoted to the most popular sport in America, professional football.
