PSE takes part in Makati City Anniversary Celebration

The Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) hosted a special bell ringing ceremony in celebration of Makati City’s 344th Founding Anniversary at the Ayala Trading Floor. Makati Mayor Jejomar Erwin S. Binay, Jr. rang the opening bell on Thursday together with the councilors and other officers of the city.

“Makati is not only the financial and commercial center of the country, it is also a model local government unit in various aspects. For all of these achievements, the Exchange is one with the rest of the city in applauding all the milestones achieved through the years,” said PSE Chairman Jose T. Pardo in his welcome remarks during the bell ringing ceremony.

“While there is so much to celebrate today, there is also a lot to look forward to in the future. I would like to commend Mayor Binay for the city’s initiative to continue to look after the welfare of its constituents - both its residents and the businesses that call Makati their home as embodied in the comprehensive development plan it launched last year,” Mr. Pardo added.
