The 2014 Best Practices in Intellectual Property Conference will feature renowned IP experts Ruud Peters of Philips and Andrea Silvestrini of Microsoft on May 27‑28th in Tel Aviv.  Both keynote speakers will bring their legendary know-how for building valuable patent, copyright and trademark portfolios, along with expert tips for creating new IP-based value at established and start-up companies.

Now in its second year, the Conference draws approximately 200 in-house IP professionals, general counsels, CFOs, CEOs and their advisors seeking current knowledge from a rich variety of IP, financial and legal perspectives.  The Conference combines practical speaking and panel sessions together with focused networking and roundtable discussions to provide a unique environment for IP professionals to learn new techniques and exchange ideas.  In 2014, the Conference also adds in-depth learning opportunities with a variety of Masters Classes led by visiting speakers.

Ruud Peters served for over 14 years as Chief IP Officer of Royal Philips Electronics and was responsible for managing Philips’ worldwide IP portfolio creation and value capturing activities, and creating technical and formal standardization activities in the company’s leading fields of technology. He now serves as Executive Vice President at Philips. Mr. Peters is a 2010 inductee in the Intellectual Property Hall of Fame.
