University of Alaska Welcomes Back Famous Real Estate Alum Kirk Wickersham
Kirk Wickersham, Creator of FSBO System, Returns to Former College in New Role
College is a great period of time for many people, and hopefully the start of a long, successful career. For Anchorage real estate expert Kirk Wickersham, his education has played a major role in his success, and his education began at the University of Alaska.
The University of Alaska isnít a particularly large school, but the alumni have made a big impact all around the world. Founded in 1917 in Fairbanks, today the college has spread to three total campuses: the original campus in Fairbanks, the newest campus in Juneau and the most popular campus in Anchorage. Noted departments at the school include Geology, Atmospheric Studies and Wildlife Biology, as well as the Arctic Region Supercomputing Center. With 33,000 students spread across the three campuses, administration and faculty must be both dedicated and decisive in order to create an environment for continued student success.
University of Alaska and the Keys to Success
When Kirk Wickersham first attended the University of Alaska, he earned a bachelorís degree in Political Science and Government. He then continued his education with a Law degree from the Yale Law School, finally finishing up with a masterís from the University of Colorado. This education background led him to dual careers in both real estate and law.
Wickersham returned to Anchorage, and proceeded to accumulate 40 years of legal experience and 30 years of real estate experience. He served as a member of the Alaskan Bar Association, the College of Fellows of UAA and UAF, and served on the Anchorage Board of Realtors. Throughout his career, he also published three books and over two dozen journal articles.
