San Francisco based vPersonalize.com today announced the availability of custom sizes for any individual on all their design-your-own backpacks, T-shirts and pillowcases. The website features an online configurator that allows you to design directly on a 3D model of the item and get it custom made, almost exactly as seen.
 
“Custom sizes were a natural extension to the design-your-own product concept. Why should it always be a S, M, L or XL? Why can’t it be a size Jane or size Dave?” asks Bala Selvarajan, co-Founder and Chief Technologist of vPersonalize.com. “Now, a customer can choose the exact width and height they want their T-shirt or backpack to be and have it custom made, along with their full-bleed artwork or photo, custom colors and slogans” he adds.
 
The visualization software works in tandem with the manufacturing automation software to take the design on the 3D model and create the individual patterns that can be stitched together to make up the final product.
