Alltel Wireless sponsors BBQ wing cook-off at South Carolina Peach Festival
Gaffney residents invited to enjoy free, family-friendly entertainment
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Alltel Wireless is this year’s exclusive BBQ ‘Wing Ding” Contest sponsor at the South Carolina Peach Festival, an event to honor the peach industry to be held July 11 – 13 and 19 - 20, in historic downtown Gaffney.
“Giving back to the communities we serve has always been a top priority at Alltel,” said Liz Stiltner, general manager for Alltel Wireless. “We are excited to be a part of this year’s Peach Festival and look forward to presenting the Alltel Wing Ding awards on Saturday.”
Festival entertainment will include a downtown family fun fest, road races, a golf tournament, mud sling, wrestling competitions and a peach dessert contest. While Gaffney residents are at the festival, they can drop by the Alltel charging station to ensure that their cell phone batteries are well-powered and enjoy the great music, food and vendors.
“Alltel’s setup will be convenient to event participants,” said Hamilton Clark, retail store manager for Alltel Wireless. “We want the Gaffney community to enjoy their time at the South Carolina Peach Festival and in order to stay connected, we want to provide a place for them to charge their phones during the event.”
Alltel will also have a display set up where attendees may purchase equipment and activate service immediately at the festival. The display will also contain rate plan information, allowing customers to choose the plan that best suits their wireless needs.
