Patients who believe they have a right to compensation for poor dental work, can find out quickly if they have grounds for a claim.

Their client, a 53 year old woman from the South West contacted the specialist dental negligence solicitors after the extensive bridgework installed by her dentist was revealed to have a number of flaws.

She originally visited the dentist for the dental complaints in question during 2010, and was prescribed a treatment plan which involved the installation of a bridgework and multiple crowns. A total of fifteen teeth were affected, and treatment began in May of that year.

Unfortunately, after the patient had had the bridges fitted she was forced to return to her dentist on multiple occasions, with complaints of a gap between her gum and the top of the bridge. But that wasn’t all, she also had cause to complain about the colour of the bridge, which effectively made her teeth appear grey.

The dentist did little to alleviate her concerns and ultimately, the woman opted to visit another dentist.

It was during her first visit to a new dentist that the patient discovered that the bridgework had multiple defects, including the fact that it was uneven. It was deemed clinically unsatisfactory.

At this point, the woman made the decision to contact the Dental Law Partnership; specialists in dental compensation claims.

Their expert solicitors were able to argue that the original dentist’s lack of skill and care had left their client in need of a completely new bridge.

While the dentist did not admit liability, the Dental Law Partnership were able to earn £12,000 for their client in an out of court settlement.

It’s just the latest in a long line of success stories for the UK based dental law specialists. But while thousands of people around the country suffer inadequate dental work, only a small fraction seek the compensation they deserve.

The Dental Law Partnership team is made up of experienced solicitors and in-house dentists, providing unique expertise and insight. Patients who believe they have a right to compensation for poor dental work, can find out quickly if they have grounds for a claim.
