The new multifunctional complex, a design by Zvi Hecker Architects, offers a variety of spaces to 1,800 staff of several branches of the Dutch Military Police. Arup is responsible for the structural design of the remarkable complex.

Covering 40,000m2, the so-called ’Queen Máxima barracks’ include offices, sleeping quarters, a restaurant, meeting rooms, sports and training facilities and shooting ranges.

By bringing almost all services of KMar Schiphol together under one roof, KMar is able to centrally control the organisation and all its expertise, which contributes to the safety of the international airport.

Preceded by the Rijksmuseum and Brains Unlimited, KMar Schiphol is the third Arup project in the Netherlands in one year which is opened by a member of the Royal Family.
