North Kingstown, R.I., October 30, 2013 — FUJIFILM Electronic Materials adds to its production line-up of superb quality, ultra-high resolution computed radiography systems with the US debut of the DynamlxTM HR2 and corresponding Dynamlx VU software at the 2013 American Society for Non-Destructive Testing (ASNT) Annual Conference, November 4-6 at The Rio in Las Vegas, Nevada. The compact, user-friendly DynamlxTM/Dynamlx VU system optimizes image detail, quality, and accuracy while streamlining the inspection process, providing a top-class inspection solution for industries including oil and gas, aerospace and defense that require the highest standard of defect detection for objects that have undergone radiographic inspection.

The compact, tabletop HR2 image reader, VU software and Image Plates integrate Fujifilm’s proprietary imaging and processing technologies to produce the highest available quality in digital imaging. Advances in image viewing, analysis and processing have streamlined the entire inspection process while increasing the system’s operational cost-effectiveness and flexibility, with new features including IP insertion by hand or cassette, IPs optimally shaped for each inspection object, computerized contrast/density normalization to the ASTM standard, and reading of images on longer IPs—up to 152cm.

“With a scanning capability of 25um,  the new DynamlxTM HR2 provides the   best selection of scan options and image quality available today,” said Terry Plasek, national sales manager, FUJIFILM Electronic Materials U.S.A., Inc. “In combination with the

system’s new, automated image pre-processing software, which eliminates the need for manual adjustments, its ability to inspect objects of varied shape and thickness with a superior degree of precision, and several other user and efficiency advances, the DynamlxTM HR2 with  VU achieves a new standard for computed radiography inspection quality, accuracy and ease.”

For customers who prefer to have the entire inspection workstation in one place, the HR² also offers an optional, portable cart.  Ergonomically designed, the cart can accommodate the entire system—including the UPS battery, 2 monitors, 2 computers and the IP cassettes. The cart provides customers with logistical flexibility to install the system in small areas, research facilities or even mobile inspection vehicles.

The DynamlxTM HR2/DynamlxTM VU meets all current worldwide standards within the computed radiography industry, including those set by ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials) and ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers). The system is also in full MAI compliance and fulfills Prime Aerospace CR specifications and procedures.

Fujifilm at ASNT 2013 Annual Conference

Fujifilm will introduce the DynamlxTM HR2 and DynamlxTM VU for the first time at ASNT. This total computed radiography system provides a new level of image quality, detail and accuracy, as well as enhancing the operational ease of the entire inspection process for non-destructive testing. Live demonstrations of the DynamlxTM HR2 with Dynamlx VU software will be available each day at Fujifilm booth #.529
