Pioneer introduces Bluetooth speaker with NFC connectivity for easy pairing
Pioneer Europe announces the expansion of its wireless speaker line-up with the introduction of a rectangular shaped Bluetooth speaker for in-house use. Offering the simplicity of NFC (Near-Field Communications) connectivity, the new XW-BTSA1 speaker makes pairing Bluetooth-enabled devices quick and hassle-free.
“Thanks to their compatibility with a wide range of mobile devices on the market today, Bluetooth speakers have become a popular option for consumers looking to get the best sound from their smartphones,” said Tim Goethals, Product Planner Home Electronics at Pioneer Europe. “By introducing a speaker that is Bluetooth-enabled and includes NFC technology, Pioneer further expands smartphone compatibility, and at the same time makes pairing devices easier than ever.”
The XW-BTSA1’s clean and elegant housing accommodates a pair of full range speakers and tweeters that deliver music with great clarity and detail. The speaker is Bluetooth-enabled for wireless music streaming straight from a mobile device. Users can pair NFC-equipped devices to the XW BTSA1 by simply holding their smartphone on the contact point indicated on the speaker to create the Bluetooth connection, without the need for complex settings in the device menu. Devices not supporting NFC can connect via Bluetooth manually.
Subtle touch-sensitive buttons on top give the speaker a modern look and feel. In addition to compatibility with virtually any Bluetooth-enabled device, music can also be played from an auxiliary device connected through the 3.5mm AUX input. The XW-BTSA1 integrates a USB port for convenient smartphone charging and can be operated with a handy credit-card sized remote control.
The sleek Bluetooth speaker delivers 8W total system power. Available in black or white finishes, its elegant design will look good in any room in the house.
The XW-BTSA1 will be available from October 2013. For further information on pricing and availability, please contact your local Pioneer distributor.
