ISHM Thanks Active Military and Guard Unit Safety Personnel with Special Certification Offer

WEBWIRE

The United States military is the world’s second largest and has troops stationed around the globe.  Since 1972, it has been comprised solely of volunteers who risk their lives for the good of the nation.  It is compromised of the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force and Coast Guard and these military professionals are supported by Active Guard Reserve (AGR) troops.

As a way of recognizing the service of these brave men and women and to say thank you, the ISHM is now offering active military and guard unit personnel involved with health and safety duties a special opportunity.  ISHM has announced it is waving the application fees for the Certified Safety and Health Manager (CSHM), Certified Safety Management Practitioner (CSMP) and the Associate Safety and Health Manager (ASHM) programs for active military professionals.

Safety professionals who earn these prestigious designations provide vital services in both the military and private industry.  ISHM certification holders are sought after by human resources (HR) managers and government agencies such as OSHA, EPA, Homeland Security, Army, Navy, Marines and Coast Guard.

“A key function of the ISHM is to promote the advancement of safety and health management through the application of management principles and the integration of safety and health into all levels and activities of management,” reported Larry Curtis, CSHM, Executive Director of ISHM.  “These functions are especially true for our military due to the nature of their work.  It is a privilege and an honor for all of us at the ISHM to offer active military and guard unit personnel this special opportunity to advance their careers through internationally recognized certification programs.  Not only will these certifications benefit active members of the military, but they will continue to help these men and women advance their career upon leaving the military and starting the next chapter in their lives,” he continued.

To be sure to get this well-deserved discount applicants need only put: ACTMIL in the Discount Code block on the application.
