Telefónica joins forces with Samsung to launch the Galaxy S4 globally

- Telefónica and Samsung continue to enhance their partnership to bring the new device to market across a number of countries worldwide.

Madrid - Telefónica and Samsung Electronics have further strengthened their partnership by joining forces to launch the brand new GALAXY S4 Smartphone across Telefónica’s global channels. Telefónica, the world’s fifth largest mobile operator, with networks across Europe and Latin America, will launch the new Samsung GALAXY S4 in Spain, UK, Germany, Ireland, Czech Republic, Brazil, Chile, Peru, Argentina, Costa Rica, Guatemala, El Salvador, Panamá, Ecuador, Uruguay, Venezuela, Colombia, Nicaragua and México.

Starting April 27th the new Samsung GALAXY S4 will be available with LTE version only in Europe and both 3G and LTE versions in Latin America, with the LTE versions available first in Brazil and Chile and later in the rest of the Latin American countries.

In March this year, Samsung announced the arrival of the GALAXY S4, designed to bring consumers closer to what matters in life and unite people’s worlds together. The new device comes with amazing new technology such as the dual camera, Smart Scroll and S Translator. Telefónica has high expectations for the success of the GALAXY S4, the next generation of the highly successful GALAXY S III, which still retains the top spot within smartphone sales.
