Financial Reporting and Business Intelligence Experts to Speak at COLLABORATE 13

In addition to its two education sessions, Insight will exhibit at the show in two locations: Booths 1653 and 547.
 
Presented by the Independent Oracle Users Group (IOUG), the Oracle Applications Users Group (OAUG) and Quest International Users Group (Quest), COLLABORATE 13 helps users of the full family of Oracle business applications and database software gain greater value from their Oracle investments. Created by and for customers, COLLABORATE 13 offers an expert blend of customer-to-customer interaction and insights from technology visionaries and Oracle strategists.
 
The first Insight session, “To BI, or not to BI: that is the question”, is part of the Application Strategy and Services track for JDE users and will take place on Monday, April 8 at 11 a.m. (session ID 109290). Presented by Shannon Kreps, Oracle Strategy and Business Development Manager at InsightSoftware.com, this session will explore whether Business Intelligence – despite being positioned as the solution to a company’s entire information needs – actually meets the day-to-day needs of today’s financial teams. Attendees will learn how to:

  • Re-focus their strategy to meet the needs of Finance
  • Use the right tool for the right job – find out if BI is right for their business
  • Deliver instant information to finance and stakeholders and reduce the strain of an already over-burdened IT department


 
The second Insight session, “Working Smarter: Womble Company’s Path to Proactive, Streamlined Reporting”, is part of the Manufacturing track for JDE users, and will take place on Thursday, April 11 at 11 a.m. (session ID 105000). During this session Insight customer Bryan Brewer, IT and Operations Manager at Womble Company, will share how Insight Reporting transformed their processes from reactive to proactive almost immediately. Brewer will show how intuitive, interactive reports and scheduling functionality continues to save Womble Company two to four hours of manual procedures every day. Attendees will:
  • Understand the reporting business challenges that influenced change

  • Learn best practices for streamlined reporting processes

  • Discover the solution that helped Womble minimize manual processes and maximize productivity
