A recent report on student loan debt by the New York Federal Reserve had some staggering numbers to report on the amount that Americans are spending on higher education.  As of the last quarter of 2012, total student loan debt totaled an astonishing $966 billion - almost triple the amount borrowed to pay for education just eight years ago.

With tuition costs rising at technical colleges, universities and other higher education programs all around the nation, more and more people have to borrow large sums of money to get the training and degrees they need to find a decent job after graduating.  The rub here, however, is that many students don’t graduate and find glamorous jobs with six-figure paychecks, leaving many recent grads struggling to pay their monthly living expenses along with their monthly student loan payments.

Reports indicate that as many as 44% of students who have borrowed money are not currently repaying their student loans with many either in deferment or forbearance.  Delinquency rates seem to be the highest in people just under 30 years of age with roughly 25% of them 90 or more days delinquent on their accounts.

If you are one of the thousands, perhaps even millions, of recent graduates struggling to pay back large student loans, or are close to ending your deferment and just cannot see how your large monthly student loan payment is going to fit into your already tight budget, Greenstudent is here to help you.

Greenstudent has a proven track record of helping people just like you find loan consolidation options, income-sensitive repayment options and even public service waiver options to keep the burden of repaying student loans from crushing them.  Get the help you need.
