Edwards Mazda unveils the new Mazda6

The all-new Mazda6 was released this January, with a special event held across the country at various Mazda dealerships to mark the occasion. Edwards Mazda is proud to be associated with the introduction of the next stage in the evolution of the family car, and we invite you to try out the dynamic, innovative new Mazda6 in Kempsey today.
 
The exterior of the Mazda6 is stylishly designed, sporting the new “KODO – Soul of Motion” look which is taken from the CX-5 SUV. From the distinctively styled front grille, all the way along the contoured body to the angular rear lights, the new design of the 6 is bound to impress. The ride matches the streamlined body, with lightweight materials meaning that the 6 is extremely agile, both when cornering and on straight roads.
 
The interior of the Mazda6 provides a calm, sleek environment, leaving you free to enjoy the ride. The cabin features a clearly laid out, backlit instrument panel and ergonomic control scheme. In-car entertainment, comfortable seating and plenty of space for passengers and luggage mean that everyone on board will have a pleasant experience. The 6 has also been awarded a Euro NCAP five-star safety rating, thanks to the myriad safety features such as a Rear Vehicle Monitoring System, which ensures that the driver is aware of any vehicles approaching the car from behind.
 
Those looking to purchase the Mazda6 will have the choice of a Tourer or Saloon, both of which feature a range of powerful engines. The highest top speed in the range is 139mph, with 0-60mph acceleration in 10.5 seconds. Whether a 2.0-litre petrol or 2.2-litre diesel, all the engines are remarkably fuel-efficient, thanks to the SKYACTIV technology built in to them, which reduces emissions and increases the miles per gallon. Subsequently, carbon emissions for the Mazda6 go as low as 108g/km for the Saloon and 116g/km for the Tourer. It’s largely thanks to this innovation that the 6 won the What Car? Car of the Year 2013 Ultra-low-carbon award.
