MyGeekCommunity Launches New Portal

Los Angeles, CA, July 18, 2006 - MyGeekCommunity LLC, the creators of GeekySingles.com, a relationship site targeting the “Geek” community has launched an innovative portal. The new portal, currently free, is called MyGeekCommunity.com and offers a wealth of features that are for geeks and non geeks alike. Standard portal features co-exists with powerful tools such as project collaboration software and source control.

“We naturally have a great deal of admiration for geeks and that is what was the impetus for starting GeekySingles.” said Larry Levine, Co-Founder & Director of Operations at MyGeekCommunity LLC. “What we learned from GeekySingles was that people wanted more from us then just a dating platform and that is what we are looking to provide”.

Mr. Levine listed Blogs, Classifieds, Collaboration Tools, Project Management, Source Control, Binary and Document Repositories as “...just the tip of the iceberg for us. We aren’t trying to compete with anyone else out there - we are trying to be part of the larger community.”

To that end, MyGeekCommunity wants all it’s users to feel that they can be a part of the development of the site. The whole site is based upon OpenSource technology and relies on the community that it now serves for it’s core applications.
