Indonesian wireless operator XL chooses Cascadiant to deploy and manage Kalimantan fuel cell network

Cascadiant Pte Ltd., the leader in the integration and deployment of latest generation green energy solutions has been awarded a contract to deploy methanol based fuel cells on the island of Kalimantan by Indonesian operator XL.  The fuel cells will ensure back-up power to some of XL’s most critical sites.

With this Agreement, Cascadiant has now worked with more than 10 operators around the world to deploy its Managed Energy Solution (MES™).

As part of the Agreement, Cascadiant’s will integrate its IntelSite™ monitoring platform to fully manage all aspect of the fuel cell network on a 7/24 basis via its Network Operations Center located in Jakarta, Indonesia.  

“Everyday we talk to operators that are looking for ways to eliminate their diesel generators not only to reduce CO2 but to stop being held hostage to the ever fluctuating price of oil”, said Marshall Towe, Cascadiant Founder and CEO.

Industry analysts estimate that over 80% of network outages experienced by wireless operators are power related. Cascadiant’s solution is far more reliable and provides wireless operators much greater network availability and most importantly increased revenue generation opportunities.

Towe concluded, “Operators are beginning to realize that there is no longer a reason to continue to deploy outdated and environmentally harmful diesel generators for back-up power, there is a better alternative and it is clean and green”.
