IDG’s Computerworld Names FedEx SVP Tammy Payne to Premier 100 IT Leaders List

MEMPHIS, TN – – IDG’s Computerworld has named Tamara Payne, Senior Vice President of Information Technology at FedEx Services, as a 2013 Premier 100 IT Leaders honoree. This year’s Premier 100 spotlights 100 leaders from both the technology and business sides of companies for their exceptional technology leadership and innovative solutions to business challenges and effective management of IT strategies.

Payne, who joined FedEx in 1984, was recognized for her leadership in expanding global enterprise systems and ensuring the deployment of quality software to the marketplace. She is responsible for the strategic roadmap of integrated business applications for FedEx operating companies, and she ensures the development and deployment of enterprise technology solutions that power the combined sales, marketing and administrative functions needed to support the business.

Payne has held a variety of positions within the FedEx IT organization, including an assignment in Asia-Pacific where she built the Singapore Data Center and call centers in Australia, Malaysia, Taiwan, Japan and China. In her role as Vice-President of FedEx.com, she was responsible for the development, deployment and support of competitively superior solutions that enhance the global power of the FedEx portfolio with a focus on customer service.

Payne and other Premier 100 honorees and their achievements will be highlighted in the February 25, 2013 issue of Computerworld, on Computerworld.com and recognized during the Premier 100 IT Leaders Conference in March.
