Kodak Announces Orders for its CR Mammography Feature
Healthcare facilities can perform general radiology, mammography exams on same CR platform
ROCHESTER, NY, July 13 -- Eastman Kodak Company announced that 28 healthcare facilities have recently purchased its KODAK DIRECTVIEW CR Mammography Feature for CR 850/950/975 Systems.
Kodak has offered mammography functionality as an optional feature on these systems outside the United States and Canada since May 2005.
Kodak has applied to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for approval of its CR system for mammography and the company is currently conducting clinical trials at several sites in the U.S. and Canada.
The mammography feature equips healthcare facilities to achieve cost and workflow efficiencies by capturing mammography and general radiography exams with the same computed radiography (CR) platform. Capturing mammography images does require the use of specialized KODAK mammography cassettes and screens.
The following facilities are among those that recently purchased Kodak’s CR mammography feature:
Clinique St Brice
Cabinet d’imagerie médicale de Rennes
Centre d’imagerie médicale Coudekerquois
Centre d’imagerie médicale de Neuilly
Centre d’imagerie médicale de Nanterre
Cabinet de radiologie de Chateaubriant
