Text Message Love Story on YouTube,"SMS ILU"

Today’s lovers can use acronyms to build their relationship while text messaging. Here are four examples of love conversations showing how to do it.

SMS ILU (Short Message Service, I Love You), a Modern Love Story, was released recently as a brief YouTube video by Rick d. Tobin, the owner of High Hope Publishing. When asked what was unique about this story, he explained,” On my thirty-fifth anniversary I thought it would be fun to write some brief vignettes about young lovers who now communicate through abbreviations as they send text messages. The concept was to have the reader experience one side of the message acronyms and imagine the challenges, strains, and restriction between two strangers in love. The messages and the plots are gender neutral. It could be any two people trying to build and maintain a caring relationship. It is also a cute way to show older people that the communication of love remains, but in a new fashion. It is also fun to peek in on what others are saying. It fills our curiosity.”

Rick recently released his third book of poems, titled, “The Blue Cello Door.” This followed his first poetry books, “Sharp Stick in the I” and “Heather ‘Round the Stone.” Tobin noted, “The works in “The Blue Cello Door” are based on poems included with my art and photography in a series of eighty-five posters I completed in that genre over a two-year jaunt. I hope to have the posters available someday for the public, but I haven’t found the right outlet.”
Some of Rick Tobin’s other works include his book of song lyrics, “The Cat with Fourteen Kittens,” and his sci-fi novel thrillers, “Curse of the 8th Buddha” and “Gordion’s Knot.” All of Tobin’s books are available on Amazon, including some available for the Kindle Reader. High Hope Publishing is a general publishing company located in Spring Branch, Texas.
