InfoLogic, Inc. today introduces MathMagic Lite for Android, the first free app for Android OS in their suite of award-winning MathMagic equation editors. The brand selected for use by thousands of large publishers, university presses, school districts around the world over the last 14 years, MathMagic Lite offers easy User Interface to type mathematical expressions and hundreds of scientific symbols, and saves in high quality image formats.
The app includes a streamlined touch based interface for fast typing of equations and symbols, and works on Smart phones and Tablets running Android 3.x Honeycomb or newer. InfoLogic releases MathMagic Lite Editions simultaneously for Android OS, iOS, and Mac OS X platforms to help mobile users write and share technical information more easily.

On top of its easy interface to type math expressions and symbols via palettes and custom keyboard layout, MathMagic Lite also reads various Math formats including MathML, LaTeX, Plain TeX, Wiki equations, MathJax, and MathType, just like the paid version of MathMagic Personal and MathMagic Pro. It reads all MathMagic Personal and MathMagic Pro created MMF files and more. MathMagic Lite for Android can save expressions in PNG, so equations can be used by many other applications and documents including web contents. Future version of MathMagic Lite for Android will support more features such as Math-to-Speech for academic users, to read out math expressions aloud via Text-To-Speech or in a text based sentence so it is also useful for learning how to read Math expressions and symbols. The company says MathMagic Lite for iOS will be available later this year for iOS devices such as iPad and iPhone.
