Senden, Germany and Denver, CO  – April 24, 2012. The State of Colorado Department of Human Services is in the middle of migrating their Natural/Adabas application to Java/SQL. innoWake’s unique methodology for approaching such a monumental task is starting to pay off early on in the project. While the target platform is still being set up, the development team consisting of 20 Natural/Adabas experts is already using a fully Eclipse based environment with an audit safe, automated deployment process built on Subversion and the Jira issue tracking system. “We’re still improving our existing application in Natural,” says Craig Carson, development manager. “But the team is already using the same tools and methods they will use once we’re all Java and SQL. This is exactly what we were hoping: a smooth transition to the new environment without leaving the development team behind.” The Natural/Adabas developers are very happy with the improved functionality and productivity they get from innoWake’s maxenso natclipse and lifecycle-manager tools and are looking forward to switching to the Java world at their own pace when that part of the project approaches.
