Appcurio.com Reviews The Strangest Apps on the Planet

WEBWIRE

Appcurio.com reviews and showcases the oddest, funniest, most twisted, so-bad-it’s-good apps on the Planet.

Yes, finally, a glaring gap in the technoblogosphere has been filled. While apps have only recently moved from buzzword to mainstay, charging forth on iPhones, iPads and Android, they have been adopted by large populations and been reviewed by sites such as AppShopper, Touch Arcade and Momswithapps. They all do a great job.

But what if you have developed an app that sells UFO tours? What if you have an app to stop demons entering the bodies of innocent iPhone users? What if your app allows you to scan for nearby dark matter (achieved, by the way, care of the in-built accelerometer)? What if your app is just one white pixel on a screen to contemplate? And what if you want to find such apps?

Just about everybody ignores them. But not Appcurio.com. Nothing is too strange, perverted or misguided. Website Director, Kris Kunze says, “No boundary of decency or taste or correct English will be imposed. We’re looking for apps that extend the very paradigm of what an app is. The app must be either ethereally enhanced, have kaleidoscopic resonance, or have been developed by goat-children.” What he meant by this we are unable to determine, as he hung up at this point and all further communications were at best unintelligible and at worst abusive.

This, however, is clear: There’s only one site that brings together the apps that are so sideways, so lost, hopeless and inconceivably constructed that they must have been put together by crazy people. Appcurio.com. Go there now. It’s actually worse than you might have thought.
