Ladies Night at Performance Fitness to Benefit American Cancer Society

TUCSON, Ariz. - Performance Fitness will host a Ladies Night event to raise awareness and funds for the American Cancer Society. The event will take place on Friday, February 17, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m at 2951 N. Swan Rd., Suite 101 (at Fort Lowell, behind McMahon’s Steakhouse).
 
The midtown gym’s owner, Andrew Clark, says Ladies Night at Performance Fitness will bring together health-conscious women of Tucson for an evening of camaraderie and education. Tickets are $20 with proceeds to benefit American Cancer Society. The evening will include drinks, snacks, raffle prizes, chair massages, hand massages, and mini facials provided by VerVe Lifestyle Salon, speakers Sandy Rosenthal from Pima County Sheriff’s Department and Susan Leigh, RN, BSN from Arizona Oncology.
 
Performance Fitness, which serves men and women, recently celebrated its ten-year anniversary.
 
"As a health-focused organization, we look forward to the opportunity to shine the spotlight on cancer prevention and treatment while offering health-conscious Tucson women a ‘happy hour with a purpose,’” said Clark.
 
Why the American Cancer Society?
 
“We will all be touched by cancer in one way or another, and instead of simply focusing on one type of cancer, we wanted to host an event that was fun, easy to participate in, and benefited an organization that has been fighting all kinds of cancer forever, the American Cancer Society,” said Clark.
 
According to Clark, proceeds leftover from every $20 ticket sale will go the American Cancer Society. Performance Fitness will also offer specials and donate 10% of any sales (gym memberships, classes, personal training services) at the event.
