ROCHESTER, NY, -- Eastman Kodak Company has signed a multi-source agreement with Novation making Kodak’s computed radiography (CR) systems available to more than 3,000 VHA Inc. and University HealthSystem Consortium (UHC) members and facilities.

As a result of the new three-year contract, Novation will offer Kodak’s digital CR systems to hospitals, non-acute facilities, out patient imaging centers, private physician offices and other approved healthcare providers across the U.S.

Among the KODAK CR products available to VHA and UHC member facilities are the KODAK DIRECTVIEW CR 500, CR 825, CR 850 and CR 975 systems, and the KODAK 2000RT CR Plus System.

Kodak’s DIRECTVIEW CR systems enable radiologists to capture and view digital x-ray images in seconds, while the 2000RT system provides digital capture of medical images used in treatment of cancer patients.

Novation awarded the contract to Kodak’s Health Group through its public competitive bid process. The agreement is effective June 15, 2006 and ends May 30, 2009.

“Kodak is a great resource in digital medical imaging technologies,” said Larry Dooley, vice president, contract and program services at Novation. ”Thanks to this agreement, Kodak’s innovative CR systems are available to VHA and UHC members for use in their facilities"

Kodak announced on May 24 that the company had signed a contract with Novation to make Kodak’s radiographic films, laser media, laser imagers and services available to Novation’s membership.
