ABASeguros Launches Mobile Claim Tool to Improve Customer Satisfaction

Proprietary software application is first of its kind in Mexico

MONTERREY, Nuevo Leόn, Mexico – ABASeguros has launched mobile technology that speeds the auto insurance claim process by more than 50 percent for its customers. Known as Ajuste Mόvil, the application is the first of its kind among automotive insurance companies in Mexico.

Alejandro Gonzalez Davila, chief executive officer at ABASeguros said the new tool will strengthen customer satisfaction.

“A car accident can be a traumatic event for anyone, particularly if injury is involved,” said Gonzalez Davila. “Our goals are to be the first to get to the scene and to ensure that every aspect of the claim adjustment process is designed to help our customers get back on the road as quickly and easily as possible.”

Ajuste Mόvil eliminates the need for paper forms and improves the accuracy and efficiency of the claim adjustment process by providing the adjusters with all the information they need on a customer’s account even before they arrive at the scene. Customers are provided with a detailed claim receipt printed wirelessly from a portable printer linked to the tool. They are also sent an electronic copy of the claim receipt via e-mail or text message, with a link to ABASeguros.com to check the vehicle repair status.

The mobile claim adjustment tool uses hardware developed by Motorola, but Gonzalez Davila said ABASeguros developed the unique software application internally.

According to industry statistics from Condusef, Mexico’s National Commission for the Protection of Users of Financial Services, ABASeguros has the fastest response time of any auto insurance company. ABASeguros is the first insurance company to arrive at the scene of an accident in nearly 90 percent of the claim calls it receives.

ABASeguros has been recognized as the auto insurance company with the best nationwide service in Mexico for two consecutive years in the surveys conducted by Condusef.

Approximately 65 claim adjusters are using the mobile technology today in Monterrey and Guadalajara. ABASeguros expects to launch the tool across the country by the end of the year with 170 claims adjusters.
